CADENZA is an immersive, experiential, and nourishing weekend for dance educators that provides a collective container that inspires, ignites, and knits together a family of CREATORS.
dance teachers, studio owners, and business operators provide SO MUCH support to their dancers and studio families. this is often ON TOP of busy personal lives, day jobs, and their own families. young dancers have returned to SDS every season as a way to renew their inspiration, spirit, and energy,

all studio owners registering for a SDS regional event will receive tuition credit towards CADENZA. each studio owner or director may decide to keep this towards their own registration or release the credit to one of your teachers or directors.

IMMERSIVE.
we believe in the fullness of being human. this means we know that we each have robust and distinct learning styles and priorities and growth interests. CADENZA attendees will receive a comprehensive class offering ranging from movement classes, seminars, and discussions.

we have limited spaces available for our 2024 Cadenza retreat in Tulum, Mexico. please make sure to inquire/make a deposit/or register early in order to secure your spot. we can’t wait to see you in TULUM!

location is everything. to truly create an immersive and nurturing RETREAT, our location was top priority. what says “reset, growth, and self-care” other than the magical TULUM!? our location for CADENZA was carefully sourced and selected so that our teachers and directors feel optimal care throughout the entire event.
SCHEDULED R&R.
YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! rest and relaxation hours are built in to our schedule in the middle of the day so you can enjoy and prioritize grounding in nature for total rejuvenation. start the day with the morning sessions and then lay out at the pool, hang at the beach, enjoy the swim up bar, feel the sand on your feet, and then head back for the evening sessions.
