WE BELIEVE IN THE VALUE OF EVERY YOUNG ARTIST.
SDS seeks to disrupt conventional convention training by focusing on diversity, application of intersectionality, and the prioritization of ALL voices. In its pursuit to create a safe space for ALL, its fundamental principles and values are deployed in artistry, community, and by an altruistic ethos and creation based culture where the emphasis is on people.

MUST ATTEND THE SOULELITE EVENT
it is required to attend the soulelite event if you wish to be a soulelite for our 23-24 season
MUST ATTEND *AT LEAST* 2 CITITES
You must attend at least 2 sds events (excluding coda + the soulelite event)
CHOREOGRAPHY
You are required to learn all tracks and attend rehearsal during the SOUL DE SOUL events you commit to. soulelite rehearsals are friday nights from 8-10pm, please plan your travels accordingly.
If you do not know the choreography, you will not be able to perform.
SOCIAL MEDIA
it is encouraged to post on your own Instagram feed at least once during the weekend, and post 2 or more ‘stories’ on your page every day while you are in attendance, tagging @souldesoul_danceconvention & @souldesoul_soulelite.
SE APPAREL
SE’S WILL HAVE ACCESS TO An ONLINE STORE WITH EXCLUSIVE SE MERCH. You will be able to purchase this online once it is available. SE’S ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A MINIMUM OF 3 *CLOTHING* ITEMS and must purchase by the end of august. These items will be shipped directly to your house (and not picked up in your first city like in past seasons). SE’s are required to wear the custom SE merch during the events you attend.
SHOWCASE
You are required to enter a Solo at atleast ONE of your chosen two cities.
Solos can be no longer than 3 minutes & you must submit your music for approval before registering.
GROUP IMPROV
GROUP IMPROV IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE MOMENTS OF THE WEEKEND & WE ARE EXCTIED TO OFFER THIS AGAIN THIS SEASON!
You are required to participate in the group improv in every city that you attend. This will take place DURING THE closing SOULCASE ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN PLANNING YOUR TRAVELS
MEDIA PACKAGE
WE are so excited to offer video in your media package this season. You are required to purchase the media package for every city that you attend, & is included in your monthly payment. This guarantees you access to ALL photos + videos from the entire weekend. SE’s have access to a discounted media package price.
OBSERVER BANDS
One observer band will be added to your package for each city.
Your parent, guardian, teacher, director, sibling, friend… etc are able to use this!
CHARACTER
All SE’s must uphold the SDS Mission Statement at all times. If this agreement is breached then the SE’s will be required to meet with the SDS director, Mackenzie Martin, and the SE Director, Michaela Moore to discuss further steps and direction.
Because we picked you to be a SOULELITE, we saw the ethos of SDS in YOU! We encourage all SE’s to be their authentic selves without apology. We want you to shine, live your truth, and thrive in this program. Thank you for continuing to share your heart and your love of SDS

We are very excited to introduce a monthly payment plan this season. You will be required to select THE “SE LITE PLAN”, OR whichever plan that best fits your ATTENDANCE INTEREST. ***Please see the pricing section for more information***.
PAYMENT PLANS ARE CREATING BY ADDING UP THE TOTAL COSTS OF ALL MINIMUM FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS, DIVIDED BY 8 MONTHS (OUR SDS SEASON).
WE HAVE CREATED THESE PLANS TO OPTIMZIE COSTS FOR OUR SE FAMILIES, AND TO HELP MAKE BEING A SE MORE ACCESSIBLE! THE “SE LITE” PLAN MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE SE PROGRAM FOR THE 23/24 SEASON.
ADDITIONAL SOLO ENTRIES:
